Vintage Theme

Styles today are always changing, and they feel like they change almost everyday! But one theme/feel that never seems to go out of style is vintage. Vintage themed weddings are very common right now because they are very heartfelt and romantic and can bring back many memories of loved ones.

Some ideas for a vintage wedding venue would be at an old barn, at an old theatre, an old colonial home, or for a destination wedding, Tuscany, Italy or in a town where the bride or groom's relatives grew up in eastern or western Europe.

A lot of people that choose to do a vintage wedding tend to do a lot of the decorations themselves. You can make your own bouquet, but instead of using flowers you can use brooches and pins. Table cards, numbers and center pieces can be made out of used flower baskets or old glass bottles, old records or anything else the bride and groom feel would be appropriate.

Backyard Weddings

Spring can be one of the most beautiful times of the year to have a wedding. The flowers are starting to bloom and the trees are starting to grow their leaves back. Some may say that this time is the best time for an outdoor wedding. A recent trend for Spring and Summer is to have an outdoor wedding, and many couples have been having backyard weddings or backyard themed weddings at other venues. Renting a venue with outdoor space can allow a couple to have their wedding on the venue's lawn with a backdrop of a beautiful waterside sunset or a historical, colonial building. There are many benefits of picking an outdoor/backyard venue including reducing venue expense and decor expense.

The backyard wedding theme is timeless and elegant, with a decidedly romantic theme. When you think of a backyard wedding you may envision a very small and intimate affair, but backyard weddings can be any size. The bride and groom may choose to have the wedding in a family member's backyard or they can rent a residential venue and bring the elements of home to it. Either way, the wedding will no doubt have an elegant and personal theme that will make unique memories for the bride and groom and their guests.
